FAQs

1. Are garments in stock?

Only in the 'Ready to Ship' section.  Everything else is made when you place your order (Ready to Ship will be added soon)

2. What is the turnaround time?

Turnaround time depends on the time of year and how many orders are in front of yours.  Sometimes I can have your item cut, sewn, dyed, and shipped in a couple days. Other times, it may be several weeks.  If you need your garment for a special occasion, or are going out of town, message me before you order, and we can discuss

3.  Do you do custom orders?

I don't do custom work as far as building a garment from the ground up.  However, I can customize sleeve lengths, hem lengths, and sometimes necklines. Depending on the request, there may not even be an additional charge, or the charge may be minimal.  Its free to ask!

4. Do you offer any extended sizes?

While smaller and larger sizes may not be shown on the website, I have the ability to make other sizes for most of the styles.  Sometimes there is an up charge for additional fabric, but not always. It just depends on the style, the measurements, and the fabric.  Again, it's free to ask!

5. If I want to pick up my order at ShowRoom, do I have to pay shipping?

Use Code FREESHIP at checkout! You guys are on the honor system.

6. What's the deal with custom colors?

If you want any color besides the available options, send me a Pantone # in the notes section, and I'll hand mix the dye to match the color.  The final results range from exact to really close, but I can't guarantee an exact match.  I'm pretty good at color matching, but I'm not as good as the paint matcher at Home Depot ;)

7. What if I receive my item and I'm not in love with it?

No returns or exchanges on customized sizes, hem lengths, sleeve lengths, etc.  Returns and exchanges on custom colors will be on a case by case basis.  All other items can be returned or exchanged.

8. Why Silk?

Silk is very eco-friendly, compared to other textiles.  Sericulture uses much less water than most other fibers, including cotton and linen.  Also Mulberry trees must be planted and maintained to feed the silk worms.

The feel and drape of the fabric is instantly recognizable, and the fibers absorb the dye beautifully, producing rich, vibrant colors

9. Wholesale

All Original Collection items are available for wholesale.  Send me an e-mail for inquiries.
